Introduction

Mensuration is a process in which woman


discharges blood and other material from the
lining of the uterus at an interval of about
28-35 days until menopause. On an average
a women losses 65-80 ml of fluid during a
period. Women health and hygiene is very
important in those days. Organic sanitary
pads are an eco-friendly and healthier
alternatives to traditional pads. These are
made from natural and biodegradable
materials and free from harmful chemicals
and synthetic addtives.

FINANCIAL ESTIMATIONS

 Per day production of napkins is estimated at 1500 napkins


 If 10 napkins are made into a packet , a total of about 150 packets can be manufactured
per day.
 An annual revenue can be expected , if the average selling price per packet is 20 rupees
 The total cost per production for a unit, raw materials,wages and salaries, expenditure
would be about 700000 .

 1. Production Costs: Allocate around ₹50,000 to ₹70,000 per month for raw materials,
equipment, labor, and quality control.
 2. Packaging: Budget approximately ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 per month for eco-friendly packaging
materials and design.
 3. Marketing: Set aside around ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 per month for branding, advertising, social
media campaigns, and website development.
 4. Distribution: Plan for approximately ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 per month for transportation,

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

 First wood pulp is purchased in commercially available sheet form. The wood pulp is then
de-fiberated on the de-fiberation machine using a carbon steel blade that de-fiberates the
wood pulp to a required fialament length 1-1.5mm .
 Once the wood pulp is de-fiberated, then fed into the core forming machine to compress
the pulp into a required share of the napkin. This process is done manually without any
automation.
 The formed wood pulp cores on the core forming machine are then wrapped by a non-
woven fabric and is sealed by sensitive impulse sealing method. Nichrome alloy filament
is used in the construction of the sealing pads. Finally, the position sticker is pasted on the
napkin and the napkins are packed.

 The production process starts with sourcing raw materials like absorbent core , top sheet,

and back sheet.

 These materials are then transformed through cutting, shaping and bonding processes

television , radio and social media. channels like supermarkets, pharmacies ,and
online platforms.

significant role in reaching target audience.  Partnerships with retailers and wholesalers
help reach wide consumer base

awareness about menstrual hygiene.  Efficient logistics and supply chain

CONCLUSION:

 The functions of sanitary napkins are to absorb and retain menstrual fluid, and
isolate menstrual fluids from the body. Important and desired properties are: no
leakage, no unaesthetic appearance or color, no odor, no noise, stay in place,
comfortable to wear (thin body shape), and a high level of hygiene.
