existence in past. We have to use there
was for singular form or uncountable
nouns, and there were for plural form.
Affirmative form.
STRUCTURE
(Singular) There + was + noun. (uncountable)
There was + a / an / one + noun. (countable)
(Plural) There + were + numbers/quantifiers (numbers/some/many) + noun.

Negative form.
