Simple present tense

In this part, you will learn to use the simple present
tense to talk about people’s jobs.
What is your mother’s job?
We can also use ’s to talk about jobs.

= the job your father has

He’s a fireman.
He’s = He is

We can also say What does

She’s a nurse.
Simple present tense
We can use the simple present tense to talk about what a
person does for a job.

She’s a bus driver.


She drives a bus.
We add s to the verb
after he / she / it.
He sleeps.
She sleeps.
It sleeps.
Simple present tense

He’s a waiter.
He serves food to people.

She’s a doctor.
She helps sick people.
Simple present tense

He’s a policeman.
He catches bad people.
We add es to verbs
ending in ch, sh or o.

She’s a teacher.
She teaches Engliash.
