Organizational Role in Creativity
Leadership and Vision
Leaders set the tone for creativity. They must communicate a vision that encourages innovative
thinking and risk-taking.

Creative Teams
Having dedicated teams or individuals responsible for innovation and creativity can help generate new
ideas and solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration
Encouraging employees from different departments to collaborate can lead to fresh perspectives and
ideas.

. Idea Champions
These are individuals who champion and support new ideas, helping them gain traction within the
organization.
• Resource Allocation:
Providing resources such as time, budget, and tools for creative projects is vital.

Tolerance for Failure:

Organizations should allow and even embrace failure as part of the creative process, rather than
punishing it

Providing constructive feedback and recognizing creative efforts can motivate employees to continue
innovating

Training and Development:

Investing in training programs that enhance creativity and innovation skills among employees

Culture and Environment:

Compositions in 2 and 3
Dimensional
Space
SPATIAL RELATIONSHIP
• Composition:
Artists and designers use spatial relationships to arrange elements within
their work, balancing positive and negative space to create a visually
appealing composition. This can involve the placement of objects, colors,
or shapes.
• Perspective:
Understanding spatial relationships is essential in creating the illusion of
depth and three-dimensionality in two-dimensional artwork. Techniques
like linear perspective and foreshortening rely on spatial understanding.
• Design:
In fields like graphic design and industrial design, spatial relationships are
key to creating functional and aesthetically pleasing products. This
includes understanding how elements fit together in a design and how
they relate to the user or viewer.
• Architecture:
Spatial relationships are fundamental in architecture. Architects need to
consider how spaces and buildings relate to each other, how they
function, and how they interact with the environment.
• Problem Solving:
Creative problem-solving often involves thinking about spatial
relationships. Whether it’s arranging furniture in a room or designing a
new product, understanding how elements interact spatially can lead to
innovative solutions.
STIMULATION – CREATIVITY
• Change Your Environment:
Sometimes, a change of scenery can inspire new ideas. Try working in a different
location or rearranging your workspace.

• Mindfulness and Meditation:

Practicing mindfulness can help clear your mind and allow creative thoughts to flow
more freely.

• Brainstorming:
Gather a group of creative thinkers and engage in brainstorming sessions. Sharing
ideas and building on each other’s thoughts can lead to innovative solutions.
• Divergent Thinking:
Encourage yourself to think beyond traditional boundaries. Ask “what
if” questions and explore unconventional ideas.
• Creative Exercises:
Try exercises like free writing, drawing, or other creative activities to
get your creative juices flowing.
• Learn Something New:
Exploring a new skill or subject can introduce fresh perspectives and
ideas.
• Take Breaks:
Sometimes, stepping away from a problem or project for a while can
help you return with a fresh outlook and renewed creativity.
• Surround Yourself with Inspiration:
Fill your life with things that inspire you, whether it’s art, music, nature,
or books. Inspiration often leads to creativity.

• Collaborate:
Working with others can bring different viewpoints and ideas to the
table, sparking creativity through collaboration.

• Embrace Failure:
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes or face setbacks. Failure can be a
source of valuable lessons and creative growth.

Disruptive Innovation model

DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION

• Disruptive innovation is the process in which a

smaller company, usually with fewer
resources, is able to challenge an established
business (often called an “incumbent”) by
entering at the bottom of the market and
continuing to move up-market.
