Module I: Introduction to functional textiles
Course Objectives: ASFT

• This semester emphasis will be on latest development in


field of textile. It focus on new fibers, fabrics and finishes
for functional and sustainable textiles.

Difference b/w Conventional & Technical Textiles
ASFT
• Unlike conventional textiles used traditionally for clothing or furnishing,
technical textiles are used basically on account of their specific physical and
functional properties.
