2. Define kinematics and familiarize
kinematic equations.

What is Kinematics?
Kinematics is a subfield of
physics that describes the
motion of points, bodies, and
systems of bodies without
considering the forces that
cause them to move.

Introduction of Kinematic equations
Kinematic equations are a set of four equations that
can be used to predict unknown information about an
object's motion if other information such as initial
velocity or acceleration is known . These equations
can be applied to motion in one or two dimensions ,
and they describe the relationships between
displacement, velocity, acceleration, and time.

Before we continue on kinematic equations, let us describe

uniform motion and uniformly accelerated motion first.
Observe the motion of the
blades of an orbit fan and
the Second hand of your
clock. Are they performing
uniform motion or uniformly
accelerated motion?

Yes, both are performing

uniform motion.

MOTION
Example of uniformly accelerated motion:
1) The motion of a freely falling body and a
vertically thrown up body are the example of
uniform acceleration.
2) The motion of a ball rolling down an inclined
plane is another example of uniform acceleration.
3) All kinds of Circular motion.
4) A rocket taking off which takes place with an
acceleration of 20 m/s2.
5) A lift going up or down with uniformly
increasing velocity.
Write the symbol in a correct column .
