 WHAT ARE HOT SPRINGS ?
• Thermal waters are those that emanate to the earths Surface with
temperatura 4°c higher tham the average anual temperatura of the location
where they are located, since they have been heated by formations
 TIPES OF HOT SPRINGS

There are diferent tyoes of hot springs dependeing on their temperatura and origin:

Depending on its temperatura :

Cold: less than 20°c.

Hypotermal: between 21 and 35°c.

Mesothermal: between 35 and 45°c.

Hyperthermal: More tan 45°c.
 ACCORDING TO ITS ORIGIN :

• Telluric: The flow varies depending on the time of years, as it

depends on infiltration. In general, they have a lower amount of
mineralización.
 THE HISTORY OF HOT SPRINGS:
• The hot springs of santa rosa de cabal. In 1915, Don Miguel Arbeláez
discovered, on his farm dedicated to livestock, a source of termal wáter.
Since then, from time to time, he invited his family and Friends to enjoy
relaxing and healing baths in a well that he built next to the fountain.
BENEFITS OF THE THERMAL WATERS
• The thermal waters rich in mineralas are a product of the influence of the
volcanic system of the LOS NEVADOS NATURAL NATIONAL PARK,
coming from meteoric waters that enter Deep into the earth and are
expelled out wards in this área, with numeroud outcrops that are used by
the complexs infraestructure. They spring from the earth at a temperatura
of 70°C and go down the waterfalls to the thermal pools at 40°C.
