Over time, in the 1980s, the variety of Korean

dramas increased, and Korean television networks started

offering trending dramas, focusing on the lives and love

stories of the younger generation to attract young people to

watch them (Kalbi, 2016).

Youths are the ones most influenced by the Korean wave, including

Filipino youths. Those youths are exposed to different kinds and genres of music

and Korean dramas. (Magtotor,2013)

According to Casasola(2017), Korean dramas are undeniably addictive.

The plot can go from cliché but subtle to deep and unpredictable which is

Academic achievement was divided into four dimensions.These are

considered to accurately assess students’ learning consequences, learning attitudes,

and learning behaviors under medical education standards in China (Li et al., 2020).

The student’s capability to improve or enhance their performance

academically is based on their environment and personal characteristics .

A study conducted by Tian, et.al (2021) revealed that mobile phone

addiction has a negative impact on learning dedication, learning performance,

and relationship facilitation.

One study posited that a relationship exists between mobile phone use

and academic achievement among university students (Ahmed et al., 2020).
