CYBERBULLYING
It is the act of using digital communication tools, such as social
media, text messages, or email, to harass, threaten, or
intimidate individuals. It can include various forms of online
harassment, like spreading false information, sharing personal
photos without consent, or using derogatory language with the
intent to harm or humiliate the target.
CYBERBULLYING
CAN CAUSE MENTAL
HEALTH PROBLEMS
Cyberbullying can cause significant harm and lead to mental health problems for several reasons:

-Emotional Distress: The constant barrage of hurtful or threatening messages can lead to feelings of
anxiety, depression, and fear. Victims often experience intense emotional distress due to the
relentless nature of online harassment.

- Isolation: Cyberbullying can make individuals feel isolated and alienated from their peers. They
may withdraw from social activities, both online and offline, leading to feelings of loneliness and
further exacerbating mental health issues.
#Low Self-Esteem: Continuous online harassment can damage a person’s self-esteem and self-
worth. They may start believing the negative things said about them, which can lead to a poor self-
image and self-doubt.

-Academic and Career Impact: Cyberbullying can also affect one’s academic or professional life,
further contributing to stress and anxiety.
