CORN CULTIVATION
• The corn that planted was Taiwan super
sweet

• We cultivated corn seeds on the top of row.

• The use of wooden stick to make a hole

• We put 2 corn seeds in one hole

• The distance between hole is 30cm

• Crop period for our corn are 70-75 days

ALPINE SKI HOUSE 15
• The soil need to be plowed and loosened
to increase soil mineral content
WATER SPINACH
CULTIVATION • The making four lanes using wooden stick
were done for planting spinach

• Scattering 100gram of the spinach seeds

into each lane for one boundaries.

• Close the seed using top soil along the

lanes.

• The seeds will sprouting in 3 to 4 days

ALPINE SKI HOUSE 16
SPINACH
CULTIVATION
• We also planted spinach as our side plants

• The soil need to be plowed and loosened to

increase soil mineral content

• We making the lanes and scattering the seeds

onto the boundaries

• We also covered with top soil on the top of

our boundaries
ALPINE SKI HOUSE 17
• Installed sprinkler around farm area
SPRINKLER • It is more easier for us to watering our
INSTALLATION corn plant

• The advantages of sprinkler

installation are
• Water is spraying uniformly
throughout the farm area
• Suitable for most type of soil,
especially for well-drained soil
• The system components installed
do not hinder other activities on the
farm
ALPINE SKI HOUSE 18
FERTILIZATION
Insert image ACTIVITIES
• Intended to restore and increase the
nutrient content of the soil
• Lack of nutrients can cause stunted
growth, easily broken plants and
leaves to yellow

ALPINE SKI HOUSE

TYPES OF FERTILIZER (SWEET CORN)

1. NPK Green fertilizer

This is used for early corn growers.
2. NPK Blue
Has an additional element of potassium and to encourage the growth of maize
flowers.
3. Chicken Dung
Chicken dung are rich with nutrient such as Nitrogen, Calcium and Phosphorus
that help in providing soil moisture and improving soil pH
4. Muriate of Potash (MOP)
Potash is essential improves colour, flavour and storing quality of fruit .
ALPINE SKI HOUSE 20
FIRST • A week after planting corn.
• Green NPK (15:15:15)
• 30g for one plant

FERTILIZER SECOND • 2 weeks after initial

fertilization.
• Blue NPK (12:12:17:2)
• 40g for one plant

THIRD • 2 weeks after the second

fertilization
• Blue NPK (12:12:17:2)
• 40g for one plant

FOURTH • Muriate of potash (MOP)

• Increase the quality of corn
being grown and increase crop
yields.

FERTILIZER FOR
WATER SPINACH &
SPINACH
I.Urea fertilizer

Made from petroleum-based materials.

Supplies high levels of nitrogen to our

vegetables.

Improve vegetable growth.

2 time fertilization for 4 weeks of vegetable

growth.

Vegetable crop is watered with solution of Urea

which is then rinsed twice with water. ALPINE SKI HOUSE 22
Weeding • Important in the early stages of cultivation of
corn.
• To avoid competition between the corn and
the weeds
• This is done manually by using the weed
method by hand
MAINTENANCE Lining • Lining is done a week after planting.
• The process of removing excess corn stalk in
one hole.
• To ensure that the corn plant receives
sufficient nutrients due to lack of competition.
Watering • Watered twice daily in the morning and
evening.
• Using an automatic sprinkler
Disease • Cultural practices such as weed control, crop
Control & distance, periodic monitoring, fertilization at
Pest the right rate
Control • Maize pests included mice, grasshoppers,
stem diggers, etc.
