A phenomenological study about the how life of those person
with disability flows.
Research Method
This academic study will employ the qualitative research.
According to several prominent qualitative scholars
(Cresswell 2002, Pope and Mays 1995; Denzin and Lincoln,
1994) qualitative research is intended to deeply explore,
understand and interpret social phenomena within it’s
natural setting. According to Wise (2001) a qualitative
research is conducted through the following stages. First is
identifying a research problem, second is reviewing the
literature, third is specifying a purpose and research
question, fourth is to collect the data and analyzing the
data, next is determining the quality of data and last is
reporting the research.. This study will use qualitative
research because the study is all about the experience of
those people with disabilities and is suitable for this study
Research Design

Specifically, this academic study will use phenomenology


research design. According to Creswell (2007) , a
phenomenology study “describes the meaning for several
individuals or their lived experience of concept or a
phenomenon “. In other words, it focuses in describing a
phenomenon that all the participants have experienced,
such as learning a second language in school system. The
study use phenomenology because it focuses on human
experiences and life
Participants

The participants in this academic study will be ten senior


high school of Pampanga High School from City of San
Fernando, Pampanga. This participants will compose of 2
females and 3 males who will be selecting via snowball
sampling technique. This study will use snowball because the
participants can refer to other person with the same status.
Instrument

This study will use a semi-structured open ended interview guide to


be further specific on information that help to gather data. The
instrument will be originally made by the researcher through
questions that are base on the objectives of this research. For the
validation of this study instrument, it was validated by the research
teacher and three more expert validators in the study including the
following: the first validator is Mr. Ma. Joseph Patrick Enriquez
B.Ph. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Philosophy in Mother of
Good Counsel Seminary.
 After college, Mr. Enriquez studied Master of Arts in
Guidance Counseling. He is a guidance counselor in
Academic Track (AT) Humanities and Social Sciences
(HUMSS) and also a teacher in senior high school
department of Pampanga High School. The next validator
is Ms. Beverly Joy Basa, graduate of Bachelor of Arts in
English and Teacher 1 in the senior high school department
of Pampanga High School.
Data collection procedures

Before, study will be conducted during the vacant of the


participants and there will be given letter for them as an
excuse for the research to interview them. The interview
will take place inside the classroom of the participants.
While interviewing, the participants in the study will not be
force to interview but have willingness to give information.
After the interview, the research will give them a
motivational speech as a sign of encouraging them that their
disability is not hindrance and to give them thanks.
Ethics consideration

The study is not to criticize the condition of the participants,


the names and information of the participants will not be
given to public to protect their identity. Ethic consideration
will sustain, the research will assured that it is not by force
to interview them but in willingness.
Data analysis

The data collected will be analyzed through coding,


categorizing and thematic analysis. In the analysis of
data, the NVivo software will be utilized.
