Zilzal.

surah in to the life of a Muslim.
SURAH ZILZAL - OVERVIEW
• This surah narrates the sign and events of the Day
of Judgment.
• The whole earth will experience all manner of
internal as well as external commotions and
upheavals.
• The earth will throw out its treasures because God
had commanded her to do so.
• Every action done in secret by men will come to
light whether it is good or bad and they will be
judge according to their actions and deeds in
worldly life.
POINTS OF PART “A”
 Theme of the passage is God‘s relation with the
created world.
 This passage revolves around two foundational
Muslim beliefs:
a) God’s power over all things and
b) The Last Day and Final Judgment
 It elaborates the events and the final outcome of the
day of reckoning or end of time.
 That day will be marked by the most intense
convulsions that will reverse all the normal physical
phenomena.

 Finally all mankind will appear in the divine court of
justice for the rewards of their worldly deeds.

 All human beings shall be presented with such


complete records of their deeds that they will
personally see all their goods and evils even to the
size of a particle.

 This surah deals with many subjects belonging to the


supersensory realm such as faith in one God, the
angels, Final Day and resurrection, heaven and hell.
POINTS OF PART “B”
 This passage asks Muslims to have strong faith in
God’s power to end time and make all stands
accountable before Him for the ultimate justice. With
such a belief, Muslims will learn about the
worthlessness of this world and realize the value of
true world.
 Genuine and sincere faith in the hereafter shapes the
conduct of Muslims. This belief reminds them of
God’s mercy justice and powers.
 This surah tells about the ultimate future of man.
Death is not total annihilation to a believer. The
thought of Resurrection is a sign of satisfaction for his
continued existence after death.

 Day of Judgement is the ultimate Day of Justice where
the men shall be rewarded and punished as per their
deeds.
 When a Muslim believes that even the most ordinary
good has its own weight and value on the Judgement
Day, not the slightest action will be left out of counting
and judgment. , it will promote self-sacrifice and moral
values in the society and enhance sense of
responsibility and final accountability.
