(NTA LEVEL 8)
PROJECT TITLE: DESIGN OF A INDUSTRIAL LEVEL FUSE BLOWN-OUT INDICATOR CIRCUIT AT TBL INDUSTRY
PROJECT TYPE: PROBLEM SOLVING
STUDENT NAME: FREDDY B. MTINANGI
REGISTRATION NUMBER: 200340329222
DEPARTMENT: ELECTRICAL ENGINEEERING
CLASS: BENG. 19 EE
SUPERVISOR NAME: MR. FRANK JOSEPH
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• In industrial operations, electrical machines are used in the production of goods
for the customer use. Failure of operation of these machines may be due to
electrical faults that occur in its power system or electrical circuit. In tracing this
fault for it to be resolved, their operations are stopped and time as a precious
commodity is lost and so is the generated profit that comes from the selling of the
manufactured goods. In this project, I will design an indicator circuit that will
alert the electrical technician(s) in case of a damaged fuse fault occurrence in the
power system of the electrical machine in production.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Main Objectives
• To save trouble shooting time in tracing the fault which led to the stoppage of the
electrical machine from normal operations.

Specific Objectives
• Design a proposed fuse blown-out indicator circuit.
• To run simulations of the proposed circuit in appropriate simulation software.
• To search for appropriate components for the proposed circuit.
• To test the prototype.
