•Each animal has some special quality
and some limitation. Hence our job is
to bring out the student’s strengths
and help him with his limitation. Seek
help when required.

•Reflect on the video and think about

the limitations of each animal.

JOHARI WINDOW

• Think about your blind window

• Think about what you keep to

yourself (how does it affect
your role as a teacher?)

• Your darker side – Anger,

patience, stress, health

Tips for Classroom Management
• Listen to understand, not to respond.

• Engage the students by developing pedagogy in a manner that they are

involved.

• Point out positive behaviours and reinforce them.

• Develop respect, not authority.

• Interactively model the behaviour you want.

• Be mindful of different learning paces.

ACTION PLAN

How would you describe your learning and the

consequent action plan from today’s session?

TANGRAM – TRACKING THE HUMAN MIND

ACTION PLAN

What was your most important learning?

What will you start doing from now?

What will you stop doing from now?

What will be the noticeable change and its

benefits?

When will you start the action?

Case 1: Disturbed Student

Sapna is a 15-year girl studying in grade 9. She is hardworking, regular and a

timid child. She finds it difficult to assert and stand up for herself hence she
gets bullied. She has very few friends and remains alone. You are noticing that
she is slowly going into her shell. Her grades are going down too. You get to
know that her parents don’t get along and is possible that they may get
divorced. Sapna is devasted and has no place to talk about her problems.

Will you and how will you help her?

Case 2: Unfocused Student

Mahesh is in grade 11. He has opted for science A – group but he

realizes that he is not being able to stay focused on his studies. His
percentage has dipped from 88% in 10th to 67% in 11th standard. You
had taught him in 9th and 10th, and you can see a marked difference in
him. He is becoming very rude, irregular in his studies and in bad
company. He is not feeling bad about his failing grades.

If you were his teacher, would you help him. How?
