Monera
• Monerans are the oldest, smallest and
simplest organisms in the world.
- All monerans are microscopic organisms
that can move from one place to another.
- All monerans are unicellular
prokaryotes.
- They can be found in all kinds of
habitats.
•Some monerans are parasites and live in
other organisms.
Monera

Monerans can be consumers, producers, and


decomposers.
- Some monerans can cause disease or illness.
- But most monerans are harmless.
- Some monerans are autotrophs, but some are
heterotrophs.
- There are three basic shapes of bacteria:

a.Cocci - monera with a round shape


b.Bacilli – monera that have a shape like a
stick
c.Spirilla – monera with spirals
