SPLIT WINDOWS

 WE CAN SPLIT WINDOW TO DISPLAY TWO APPLICATION WINDOWS SIDE


BY SIDE. TO SPLIT A WINDOW, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
 STEP 1 : OPEN MS WORD AND MS POWERPOINT PROGRAMS ONE BY
ONE.
 STEP 2 : THE POWERPOINT WINDOW WILL BE ACTIVE AS IT WAS
OPENED LAST.
 STEP 3 : RIGHT-CLICK ANYWHERE ON THE BLANK PORTION OF THE
TASKBAR.
 STEP 4 : CLICK ON ‘SHOW WINDOWS SIDE BY SIDE’ OPTION FROM THE
SHORTCUT MENU. BOTH THE APPLICATION WINDOWS WILL BE
DISPLAYED SIDE BY SIDE.
WINDOWS 10 TASKBAR

UNLOCK THE TASKBAR


Right click an empty space on the taskbar and uncheck ‘Lock
the taskbar’option by simply clicking on it
MOVE the taskbar
Click an empty space on the taskbar and holding down the
mouse button. Drag the taskbar to one of the four corners of
the desktop. Release the mouse button once the taskbar is
placed at desired location.
NOTIFICATION AREA

 The notification area is located on the right-hand side of


the taskbar. This area displays the standard volume,
network, power and Action Center status icons. Action
Center is used to keep a tack of security and maintenance
needs.

 There is a small triangle to the left of the visible


notification icons that displays the hidden icons in a
window above the taskbar. It is possible to drag icons
between this window and the Notification Area.
Task View

 Task view allows you to quickly move within your open


windows and applications. You can access it by clicking
the “Task View” button from the Taskbar.

 You can also press and hold the Windows key and then
press Tab to achieve the same result.
