INTRODUCTION
● In an era where data is generated at an unprecedented rate, efficient storage
management has become paramount.
● In response to this, adaptive threshold motion detection has emerged as a promising
technique to intelligently filter and retain only pertinent video segments.
● That's where adaptive motion detection comes in. It's like having a smart filter that only
keeps the important parts of a video and append it in storage.
● Instead of using fixed rules for what counts as "motion" adaptive detection adjusts itself
based on what's happening in the video. This means we can save a lot of storage space
without losing any crucial information.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
● Security camera systems are commonly used for surveillance, but the
continuous recording of video consumes a substantial amount of storage
capacity. This poses a challenge in terms of storage costs and the limited
duration of recording.
● To address this issue, there is a need to develop an efficient system that
leverages motion detection technology to optimize storage usage by
recording video frames only when motion is detected.
● The system should also incorporate advanced storage optimization
techniques, including data compression and overwriting of old data.
OBJECTIVE
● Develop a surveillance system that employs motion detection technology to
reduce storage costs and optimize video storage capacity.
● Implement advanced storage optimization techniques, such as efficient data
compression and overwriting of old data, to extend video recording
durations.
● Enhance the reliability of motion detection, addressing challenges like false
alarms and adverse weather conditions.
● Ensure secure and compliant data storage and retrieval, and create an
accessible user interface for efficient video management.
● Empower users to achieve efficient, cost-effective, and dependable security
and surveillance solutions for a safer environment.
