AR
Augmented Reality
Introduction
•The real-time integration of digital information with the environment of the user is
known as augmented reality (AR).
•Using augmented reality, users can receive more information or have natural
environments aesthetically altered in some way.
•Through a device like a smartphone or glasses, augmented reality (AR) provides the
user with visual elements, sound, and other sensory information.
• A part of the natural world might be hidden or added to by the superimposed
information.
How DOES AR WORK?
ADVANTAGES OF AR

● Creates Unique Customer Experiences

● It eliminates Cognitive Overload
● Heightens User Engagement
● Competitive Differentiation
● Immersive Training
● Real-Time Analytics
DISADVANTAGES OF AR

● Unaffordable
● Privacy and Security Issues
● Promotes Risky Behavior
● Addiction and Fatalities
● More health issues

VIRTUAL REALITY
Introduction

•A simulated 3D environment Called Virtual Reality.

•The environment is built using computer hardware and software.
•User may also put on accessories like Helmet or Goggles in order to interact with it
IMMERSION
Viewers can put themselves in a virtual environment and become a part of the
virtual environment by wearing interactive devices such as helmet-mounted
displays and data gloves.

The viewers’ brain tricks themselves with what they are seeing and hearing from
the VR head-mounted displays or a VR headset giving them an immersion
feeling and thinking that what they are experiencing feels real.
INTERACTION
The human-computer interaction in VR technology is natural-like interaction.
There are two types of interactions which are the three-degree-freedom (3DoF)
interaction and the six-degree-freedom (6DoF)
IMAGINATION

● The research and development of VR are to expand human cognition and

perception capabilities and establish a harmonious human-machine environment.
● VR technology is a perfect combination of humans and technology that is a
product of computer graphics and human-computer interaction technology.
● Using the means of VR technology, we can get an “immersive” experience of the
research object and environment, thereby enhancing the breadth and depth of
human cognition, and broadening the “cognition space” and “method space” for
humans to understand the objective world. Ultimately achieve a more essential
reflection of the essence of the objective world
Types of VR
Advantages of VR

● Helps in creating a perfect illusion

● A drastic improvement in education
● Increased efficiency in Healthcare
● Benefits in business
DISADVANTAGES OF VR

● Expensive Implementation
● Complex Technology
● Addition towards Virtual
Environment
AR v/s VR
•Augmented reality and the virtual reality are inverse reflections.
•VR creates an immersive virtual environment, while AR augments a real-world scene.
•AR is only 25 percent virtual, while VR is 75 percent virtual.
•VR requires a headset device, while AR needs just a smart phone.
•AR users are in contact with the real world, while VR users move in a completely
fictional world.
•AR technology partially immerses the user into the action, while VR technology fully
immerses the user into the action.
CONCLUSION
Though the disadvantages of Virtual reality can disturb the human's perception ability,
it's advantages in different fields makes it user friendly.

The sole objective of virtual reality is to give the user an environment as realistic as
possible and a thrilling sensory experience. The technology of virtual reality is
advancing rapidly and it won't be long before it becomes a most exciting source of
entertainment in our homes.

AR is FAR BEHIND FROM VR ,BUT STILL AR HAS GREAT FUTURE AS IT

PROMISES BETTER INTERACTION WITH REAL AND VIRTUAL WORLD
WHICH IS PREVIOUSLY UNIMAGINABLE
