Introduction
⮚ Internet of things (Iot) is an emerging technology which lets humans and things to interconnect
anywhere and anytime.
⮚ It also allows the devices to interact and exchange their data associated with users.
⮚ Our proposed project measures the body temperature and heartbeat of a person using IOT based
integrated healthcare systems.
3
Statement of Problem
⮚ The current system used for health monitoring is the fixed monitoring system, which can be
detected only when the patient is in hospital or in bed.
⮚ Recently accessible systems are huge in size and available only in the hospitals in Intensive Care
Unit .
⮚ Thus, we come to conclusion that we have to design an IoT based patient health monitoring
system that are small and light weight i.e., easily carried while walking and also measures the vital
sign such as heart beat and body temperature .
4
Objectives
❖ General objectives
⮚ To design and develop a low cost Iot based patient health monitoring system that measure the
heartbeat and body temperature.
❖ Specific objectives
⮚ To design mobile, small, cost effective, very easy to use, highly efficient performance, portable
and light in weight patient monitoring system.
⮚ To gain knowledge and insight of designing circuits and assembling the electronics components
as a biomedical technician.

ESP8266 WI-FI Module
⮚ The ESP8266 is user-friendly and
low-cost device to provide internet
connectivity to our projects.
⮚ The module can work both as an
access point (can create hotspot) and
as a station (can connect to wi-fi)
⮚ The ESP8266 module works
with 3.3V only and has 8 pins.

⮚ GND
⮚ Data, the data wire must be connected to a pull-
up 4.7K resistor.
