another. It is the way people interact with
and influence other individuals.

human behavior that involves politics
and power. It can be legitimate political
participation or illegitimate political
activities.
Examples:

2. coup d’état or terrorism

(illegitimate)
Cultural behavior is behavior exhibited
by humans that is extrasomatic or
extragenetic. In other words an
innovation of a learned behaviors.

Extrasomatic is an adaptation like writing

a new program to perform the task better,
without having to build a new hardware.

(pagmamano, using po and opo)

2. religion (angelus, novena),

3. tradition (folksongs) and etc.

and
Cultural Changes
Functionalism
Culture is an interrelated whole, not a collection of
isolated traits. Like a human being has various organs
that are interconnected and necessary for the body to
function correctly, so society is a system of
interconnected parts that make the whole function
efficiently

Conlfict Theory
It states that society and culture are inherently
unequal. Power is unequally distributed between
social groups depending on factors such as class,
gender, race, and age.

Anthropology,
Political Science
and Sociology

with the goal of understanding our

2. Political Science

domestic, international, and comparative
perspectives. It entails understanding
political ideas, ideologies, institutions,
policies, processes, and behavior, as well as
groups, classes, government, diplomacy, law,
strategy, and war.
3. Sociology
