Siempre acompañan a un verbo principal.
Son invariables con respecto al uso de las diferentes
personas.
Siempre están acompañados de un verbo en infinitivo.
Funcionan como auxiliares para negar y formular
preguntas.
Le aportan al verbo principal una idea especial.
