FIRST WEEK 1ST WEEK October 17, 2022, the day we were deployed on Mataas na Paaralang Juan C. Laya ( MPJCL) in San Manuel, Pangasinan. Through the indorsement of our school dean, Dr. Ryan Jayson Delos Reyes and the program head of ementary, Dr. Russell Santos, we are able to observe and assist.
During our first week on MPJCL, we were divided
into two groups and had given a schedule to follow different teachers for two weeks. We observed a lot of students in different grade/year level including their attitudes and behaviors. We were also given a chance to judge performances and give advices on how they can improve it.
Our first week on Mataas na Paaralang Juan C.
Laya served as our warm-up because it was a preparation for us to our journey as a future teacher. This is a great opportunity for us to learn and to practice our knowledge SECOND WEEK For the second week of our observation, the first quarter of the Mataas na Paaralang Juan C. Laya’s school year is about to end therefore, preparation for their exam occured.
While observing, I noticed that they barely remember their
previous lessons when they were asked questions. Through reviewing and taking diagnostic test, their knowledge from their previous lessons are gradually restoring. Having this assessment, the learners are being evaluated to examine their strengths and weaknesses.
My takeaways from this week of observation is the
importance of reviewing particularly on how it affects the understanding we have to our past lessons and how it inculcates in our minds . It is a great tool to refresh ones mind from previous lessons/studies.
