SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

AND NATION BUILDING

Introduction

• Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) plays an important role

in economic and social progress. It is a key driver of the long-term
growth of an economy.
• It can lead to the creation of new public goods and services (or
new methods of delivering public goods and services) that will help
address the needs of society.
DOST- SCIENCE FOR CHANGE PROGRAM

The Science for Change Program (S4CP) was created to accelerate STI
in the country in order to keep up with the developments in our time
wherein technology and innovation are game changers. Through the
Science for Change Program (S4CP), the DOST can significantly
accelerate STI in the country and create a massive increase in
investment on S&T Human Resource Development and R&D.
