PEPSI
Pepsi is a very well-known company, especially in the United States and not
as much in Europe as Coca Cola.

We have chosen this company because we believe that being such a well-
known brand, it should become even more well-known on the European
continent since it still has a lot of room to grow.

COMPANY’S ORIGINS
PepsiCo Beverages North America roots date back to 1890, when Caleb
Bradham, an entrepreneur from New Bern, North Carolina, created
Pepsi-Cola and began offering it to his customers.
PepsiCo's Expansion
PepsiCo Inc., founded in 1965 in the United States, entered the
snack market in Spain with the acquisition of Matutano & Pet Milk
S.A., and its production center in Burgos. This is the first factory
that PepsiCo acquires in Europe.
PepsiCo's Expansion
Pepsi in 1982, after its great success in the United States with
Pepsi-Light, launched it in Spain, thus expanding the market
throughout Europe and a year later in 1983, Pepsi Cola went on
sale without caffeine.

PepsiCo Inc. in 1999 spins off its bottlers creating “The Pepsi MAX Flavor Challenge” is being held,
PepsiCo Bottling Group, Inc. (PBG) and a surprising campaign calling on consumers to
PepsiAmericas, Inc. (PAS). In both, PepsiCo Inc. participate in the nationwide blind taste test
maintains a 40% stake. The beverage business in between Pepsi MAX and Cola-Cola Zero Sugar.
56% of consumers chose Pepsi MAX.
Spain remains in the hands of PBG.
OTHER CURIOSITIES
The name Pepsi comes precisely from the disease that
motivated Caleb D. Bradham to create a medication against
this ailment: dyspepsia.

In 2019 PepsiCo launches the entire Pepsi range


on the market in 100% recycled plastic bottles, a
pioneering initiative in the soft drinks sector in
Spain.

Pepsi has countless brands, even more than its direct competition CocaCola, reference
brands such as Lays, Alvalle, Doritos…

As for drinks, they not only have Pepsi, but they also run 7up, Lipton, Gatorade, Rockstar…

Due to the number of products that Coca Cola carries, it is better known since Coca Cola
has expanded better than Pepsi throughout Europe.

FUTURE PLANNING IF I WERE
CEO OF THE COMPANY

If we were PEPSICO’s CEO we would contact famous or influential people to promote our
products, or even release a new energy drink to make it any sports team’s main drink, so fans
see the ads and from that they get interested because they see their idols, and they buy our
products because it’s their idol’s, obviously this strategy doesn’t always work. Or another
strategy would be to implement the selling of our products in any supermarket around the
world. Both strategies improve our brand’s fame and make us better known around the planet.
