CAPACITOR
- Is an electric device used to stores electrical
charge. It is basically a two metal plate placed
parallel to each other.
Capacitance
- Is the amount of charge (q) in
each of the capacitor plates
divided by the potential difference
(V) between the plate.
Where: C= capacitance measured in C/V or Farad (F)
Q = charge measured in Coulomb (C)
V= potential difference in volt (V)
Where: C = capacitance measured in C/V or
Farad (F)
A = area measured in m2
d = distance measured in m

Capacitor in series
- A series circuit is a circuit
in which the components (e.g.
lights) are connected in line with
one another and the wire. In
other words, a series circuit
contains components that all
share the same wire.

connected in parallel, they
share a common point a
junction, at which the
potential is the same for all
conductors.
