What to Consider :
The operator must know how to use it, ready,
willing and able.

The extinguisher must be within easy reach, not obstructed


from view, in good working order, and fully charged.

The operator must have a clear escape route that


will not be blocked by fire.

The extinguisher must match the type of fire being


fought.

The extinguisher must be large enough to put out


the fire.
Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers

 The extinguisher must be inspected regularly at least


once a month.

 The extinguisher must be inspected physically from top


to bottom and appropriately marked after inspection.
