broadly describes all
channels of
communication, including
everything from printed
paper to digital data.
TYPES OF MEDIA
Media can be classified into four types:
• Print Media (Newspapers, Magazines ,
Books)
• Broadcast Media (TV, Radio)
• Outdoor or Out of Home (OOH)
• Media Internet

1. PRINT MEDIA
• is the oldest means of sharing
information/news. The news or
information is published in hard
copy and then it is released
which is more reader-friendly.
• Print media include
newspapers, magazines, and
books.

2. BROADCAST
MEDIA
• is defined as different media
channels or broadcasters such as
the television, internet, audio
podcasts, video content, and
others.
• The primary purpose of
broadcasting media is to broadcast
and communicate with the public.

3. Outdoor or Out of Home
(OOH) Media
• also called outdoor
advertising, outdoor media,
and out-of-home media, is
advertising experienced outside
of the home. This includes
billboards, wallscapes, and
posters seen while "on the go".

4. MEDIA INTERNET
• is a means of communicating using
the internet. This can include
personal communication with text,
images, links, videos and voice.
• comprise such services as email,
social media sites, websites, and
Internet-based radio and
television.
