Pollution at school.

Who causes pollution at school???

1. Students.
 Students can cause pollution by littering, not properly disposing of trash, wasting
water, and using energy excessively without being mindful of conservation.
2. Staff.
 Staff can contribute to pollution through activities like using vehicles that emit
greenhouse gases, improper disposal of waste, and using energy-intensive equipment
without energy-efficient practices.
What type of pollutants are at school, how do they
pollute our school environment and what are the
affects???

1. Soil pollution
 students at our school throw trash on the school grounds during break time. This is very dangerous because it can attract
various types of insects and spread diseases.
2. Water pollution
 During Salaah time in the school bathrooms, the floor is often wet and slippery. Most of the time, there is a scarcity of water
s0 then people cant pray or use the restroom.
3. Air pollution
 At the school canteen, when workers cook chicken and chips, smoke rises into the air and can enter students' lungs, harming their respiratory
systems. Additionally, when the school buses arrive to pick up students, the smoke released can contribute to air pollution and worsen the
problem of global warming.

4. Noise pollution
 This is what happens when a teacher is not in the class. Students make noise destructing other students studies and the teachers who are
teaching.
How can we
eliminate/reduce pollution
in our school???
1. Promote Eco-Friendly Transportation: Encourage students and staff to use eco-friendly modes of
transportation such as walking, cycling, or carpooling. Establish safe walking and cycling paths to the
school. Additionally, advocate for the use of electric or hybrid vehicles for school transportation, reducing
emissions and air pollution in the vicinity of the school.
2. Water Conservation: Raise awareness about water conservation practices among students and staff. Fix
leaky faucets and pipes promptly, install water-saving devices, and encourage the responsible use of water
in restrooms and other facilities. Additionally, consider rainwater harvesting to utilize rainwater for various
purposes.
3. Waste Management: Implement proper waste disposal systems, encouraging students and staff to recycle,
reuse, and reduce waste. Regularly clean up litter and promote awareness campaigns to educate everyone
about the importance of responsible waste management.
4. Environmental Education: Integrate environmental education into the curriculum to raise awareness
about pollution, its effects, and ways to combat it. Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness
campaigns to educate students, staff, and parents about the importance of environmental conservation .
