INTRODUCTION 2

This study explores millennials' interaction with Point of Sale (POS) systems, recognizing the pivotal role these
systems play at the intersection of technology and business in the dynamic realm of consumer behavior. With roots tracing
back to James Ritty's late 1800s invention, the study focuses on millennials, born between the early 1980s and mid-1990s,
who navigate POS devices with a unique technological adeptness shaped by and shaping breakthroughs. Against the
backdrop of a rapidly advancing digital era emphasizing seamless transactions and superior customer experiences, the
research addresses a literature gap, highlighting technology's integral role in the consumer experience. By examining
millennials' awareness, usage patterns, and potential challenges with POS systems, the study aims to provide valuable
insights for businesses, guiding strategies, technological innovations, and industry practices. The subsequent sections will
delve into research methodology, literature review, and findings, contributing to a nuanced understanding of how millennials
are influencing POS awareness and practices, offering practical guidance for companies adapting to evolving millennial
expectations.

comprehensive whole population sampling technique. In this approach, all students in the two specified
sections were included, ensuring a representation of the entire population under consideration. This
method aligns with a purposive sampling strategy, as it intentionally targets the complete population
sharing specific characteristics relevant to the study.

Respondents of the Study

The participants of the study will be Opol Community College students enrolled for the school year 2023-
