o Allows a major release upgrade of the node (including TXCare and OS licenses)

MACsec link license (for all node types supporting MACsec)

• XG-L996: TXCare MACsec license for 1G link (as of R4.6) (optional, one per link)
o Voucher code, is converted to license file on portal
o Allows TXCare to configure MACsec on a 1G link between two nodes. (XTD/XTR or modular)
• XG-L997: TXCare MACsec license for 10G link (as of R4.6) (optional, one per link)
o Voucher code, is converted to license file on portal
o Allows TXCare to configure MACsec on a 10G link between two nodes. (XTD/XTR or modular)

XTran Licenses

• XTran Licenses grants the right to use the latest software at the
time of the delivery of the order
o Validation of licenses is done via TXCare Unique Voucher ID

• Purchase of the license results in Unique Voucher ID per node per licens

(except OS License)
• The vouchers are needed to activate the software

• XTran release have a major and minor release number

o R4.3 (4= major release, 3 = minor release)
o Minor releases is increased when small functionality is added
o Major release is increased when large functionality is added
• Minor releases are included in the TXCare Licenses
• Major releases require a TXCare upgrade License
o Node licenses (XTran, OTN, ETS, Generic) and Language licenses
o Major upgrades are included in the SW Care program

How to Activate TXCare Node License

• When installing TXCare a unique serial key is needed (TXCare serial key)
• TXCare serial key can be obtained via OTN Systems portal free of charge
• Download and install TXCare: an offline network can be created.
o Activation is needed in order to connect to a live network or to enable features (Large Network Monitoring, Generic reporting,…)
• Activate the license: by connecting the TXCare serial key with the Unique Voucher Ids

 Go to OTN Systems portal and choose <TXCare

licenses> and <Get License Pack>
 Enter the TXCare serial key and list the Unique Voucher
Ids of the nodes you want to manage in this
installation
 A License Pack in the form a *.DAT file will be provided
and needs to be placed in “root:\TXCare License”
