The document describes an IOT based smart bin project. The project aims to address the problem of increasing pollution by developing a smart garbage bin that can automatically open its lid, detect moisture, humidity, temperature and garbage levels. It will also identify whether garbage belongs to wet or dry categories. The bin will use ultrasonic sensor, servo motor, humidity/temperature sensor, Arduino Uno, Node MCU ESP 8266, rain sensor and IR sensor. It will have a Blynk mobile app to control and monitor the bin. The expected outcomes are well managed waste, reduced health risks, recyclable materials, reduced human/cost of manual waste management. Future work may include solar power, robotic arm, voice/cl

IOT Based Smart Bin
Introduction
Nowadays pollution is increasing rapidly. Its reason is that
we throw the garbage everywhere and have no proper management, which pollutes our environment and causes many diseases in our society. Solution to the Problem
IOT based smart bin.
Features
Automatically opening of lid of the bin.
Detect moisture and humidity in the bin. Detect Temperature. Show garbage levels in the bin Partitions of Garbage (either it belong to wet category or dry category ) All working is possible with Android mobile application Hardware Tools
Ultra-sonic sensor
Servo Motor Humidity &temperature sensor
Arduino Uno Node MCU ESP 8266

Blynk App
Expected Outcomes
Well Managed waste material in bins
Reduce health risk Produce recyclable material Reduce Human Effort Reduce manual waste management cost Future Work
Replacing rechargeable cells with solar plate. As it will produce
its own electricity required to open the lid and for the working of sensors and other products. Creating a robotic arm that will pick out any metal in the food- based trash, using the affectivities of image processing. Clapping recognition in which lid will be opened by clapping. Voice recognition system in which system will recognize the voice of authorized person and lid will be opened by voice. Smell sensor can be used for detecting smell of green waste.
