is affected he is affected, and if his head is
affected he is all affected.

• References:
• Verily, Allah has revealed to me that you must
be humble towards one another, so that no
one oppresses another or boasts to another.
(Sahi Muslim)
• Faith promotes the spirit of submission before Allah and negates pride.
• Allah says in the Quran in Surah al Nisa “Allah loves not the proud and arrogant”. There
are two types pride in Islam; pride against the commands of Allah and pride against
your fellow humans.
• A believer with the slightest degree of faith will eventually be freed from Hell and a
person with the slightest degree of pride will be denied Paradise

• (b) How to implement the Hadith:
• Muslims should promote humbleness and submission before
Allah.
• Must be humble, thankful, lenient and loving.
• Use their blessings to help others.
The Qur’an mentions the ways of being humble through prayers.
• By strengthening a sense of humility, pride can be effectively
resisted and controlled.
• Following the divine guidance is the best means of promoting
humility and resisting pride.
• The examples of the Holy ProphetSAW at the time of conquest
of Makka and of umar at the time of conquest of Jerusalem

Hadith- 19
• This hadith is related to the individual life of a Muslim.
• This Hadith describes reality of the world and its perception
by a believer and a disbeliever.
• It also implicitly affirms the belief in life after death and the
attainment of rewards for the actions of this world.
• The world is compared to two things here,the prison and the
heaven. These two are the direct opposite of each other.
• This life for a believer full of restrictions,do’s and don’ts,
lawful and unlawful,hala and haram,full of tests and
hardships and punishment in this world if he commits any sin.
• The life for a disbeliever: a place to enjoy and make merry.
Hadith- 19
• ‘Live in this world as a stranger or a wayfarer.’
• (b) How to implement the Hadith:
• Live a simple and pious life like that of the
Holy Prophet SAW and the companions like
Abu Bakr,Umar,Usman, Ali and Abu Darda.
Hadith- 20
• God does not regard your appearances and your
possessions , but he regards your hearts and your
deeds.
• This Hadith is related to the individual life of a
Muslim.
• Islam gives importance to character,habits,actions
and treatment with others rather than looks of a
person.
• Islam does not give any importance to cast,color or
race but to the conduct and piety of a person.
Hadith- 20
• The Prophetﷺsaid, "He who lets the
people hear of his good deeds intentionally, to
win their praise, Allah will let the people know
his real intention (on the Day of Resurrection),
and he who does good things in public to
show off and win the praise of the people,
Allah will disclose his real intention (and
humiliate him).

• How do Muslims put these teachings into action?
• This hadith highlights the importance of sincerity and good intentions.
• Hypocricy,ostentaion and greed for wealth,power and influence must
be avoided.
• The example of Bilal whose footsteps were heard by Prophet in Jannah.
• The importance given to Zaid bin Haris,Julebib,Abdullah bin Masud and
and Abu Huraira by the Prophet SAW.

• Hadith: O people, your Lord is one and your father Adam is one.
There is no favor of an Arab over a foreigner, nor a foreigner over an
Arab, and neither white skin over black skin, nor black skin over
white skin, except by righteousness. Have I not delivered the
message?
