effects on people, animals and plants when
not used properly.

Harmful materials can be solid, liquid and gas.


Some materials may cause fire hazards, toxic
or poisonous, may cause burns or react
dangerously.
1. FLAMMABLE - can catch fire easily in
the presence of a spark, or friction

2. TOXIC or POISONOUS - can harm or


kill plants and animals

3. REACTIVE - highly unstable and can


explode or release toxic gases when
exposed to heat, water and pressure
4. BIOLOGICAL HAZARDOUS- it can
cause harmful effects on our health.

5. CORROSIVE- eats away metal


containers, skin, and other materials
upon contact.
