Pre- Implementation
- Immediately conducted a Collaborative Meeting on January 10, 2024 with Teachers of
English and Filipino, SGHs, GLCs, Class Advisers
- Prepared an Action Plan on the Implementation of Catch Up Fridays- DEAR for January
12, 19 and 20
- Checked the availability of reading materials in the school library, utilization of teacher-
made reading assessment, donated books from a partner publishing house (PSICOM
Publishing House), periodicals and other reading books
- School Memo No. 6 was released on January 10, 2024
SGHs/ English and Filipino Dept Chairs- Monitoring and Evaluation
GLCs/ ICT Coordinator- solicit Feedback from students and teachers (online/ in person)

Guiding Principle: “All teachers are reading teachers”

 Shortage of time to prepare for Q2 PT


- Jan 12- 2hrs./30 min. (10 min. for preparation)
- English, Filipino and HGP Classes the rest of the subjects will be taught as planned
 Insufficient reading materials that are aligned with the competencies per grade level
- Reproduction of contextualized reading materials based on needs per grade
level for Jan. 19 and 26
 Students are interested in reading short stories
- Localized and edited short stories originally written by SSP students were
reproduced
 Students easily get bored of reading long stories
- Employ segmental reading

Ways Forward
 Reproduction of contextualized teacher- made reading assessment materials
based on competencies per grade level thru Project BIBO
 Conduct of FGD after Friday to solicit feedback and come up with a solution
 Support the school’s reading program enhancement program through
technology- based solution initiated by the ICT Coordinator in collaboration with
the English Department
 Continue crafting teacher-made modules for reading intervention following the
format of ADIDAS-A to ensure development of reading competencies
 Sustain the school’s reading banner- Project REACH for Non- Readers and
students under Frustration Level
