• A fire broke out-caused by a lit kerosene
lamp knocked down by a cat behind
Rona’s bed, which burned her hair and
back.
• Rona quickly went to the other room
roused her brothers and sisters and carried
them single-handedly outside the house.
• Her act of bravery left her with third
degree burns.
