can use many in
positive, negative, and
interrogative sentence.
For example:

A LOT OF/ LOTS OF : positive sentence
NOT MUCH/NOT MANY/NOT A LOT OF : Negative Sentence
MANY/MUCH/A LOT OF : Question
PLENTY OF : Positive question, showing we’re happy with the amount
Small Quantity
A FEW/A LITTLE : talk about an amount
FEW/LITTLE : Talk about negative amount (there’s not, there’s not a lot)
