Firt day

It is the first day of our On the job training so since it is

the first day.. maam bam2 given a task to group us into 3
groups making our own yell and pailaila or telling about
our self individually to getting know each other😂😂 also to
assign every group were we belongs cleaners,host team,
and etc....

In these photo date 12/06/2022 it is the first discussion for our On the job training
so si Edgar tackled about what is palay check is all about and how it is important?
Palay Check has 8 key check that so very important to encorage farmers to manage
crops based on the targets, first check is seed and variety selection, with using high
quality seed recommended variety. Second is Land preparation, by perfoming good
practices of land prep.next is crop establishment of practice synchronous planting after
follow period. Nutrients manangement,Water management,Next is pest management
and lastly is Harvesting the crops on the exact or the right time

This activity we measure the area by using the

handheld portable GPS device, you measure any
shape of area, even for upland and slopeyour area
through walking
 Soil sampling

In these activity sir Edgar guide us on how to collect soil

sample in a proper way so if we've collect soil sample it
has an accurate patern like S,W,Z.. if we are in a rice field
area we collect soil 1 meter away from the dikes or pilapil,
and then we used V cut 12 inch and 2 to make a
cubes.....after collecting we submit the collected soil into
BSWN who analys the soil..

Performing Contour Farming

Contour farming is a technology, a practice, or a system in

sloping agricultural lands whereby crop rows are oriented
perpendicular to or across the slope of the land

To perform contour methods in a slope area first thing we

do is to make an A frame with correct layout and correct
measures and then follow the steps for leveling.

pruning such as the formative pruning,Heavy pruning and light pruning.The
purpose of pruning is to make your crops more productive to gain high yield.

In these activity we perform Soil mixing for growing media, how to prepare potting mix?..we common used
some growing materials like garden soil, rice hulls, dried animal manure, or vermicast, and the ratio is 1 is to
1 and make sure after mixing the soil sterilized should be done
Leveling the nursery

LEVELING THE NURSERY

Leveling the nursery is also very important to avoid

lands liding to minimize the stress or the seedlings
that we have grown on the nursery...so if we handle
the nursery we must be responsible and obsever all
the practices of the nursery like cleaning checking
the irrigation system and etc.

plants to flourish in their natural habitat,
free of pests. They are provided with an
adequate amount of water, good quality
of soil, and sunlight to grow and nurture.
It also helps in protecting endangered
plant species that carry medicinal

In this activity we're performing the first stepts on land

preparation CLEANING so for cleaning or in a spicific term in
argi. Is weeding or reamoving all the unwanted plant in the
area. We used some common tools and equipment for
cleaning like Bolo, syckle,grasscutter and etc.
 Community service

In this picture Department of agriculture conduct community vaccine, free vitamins treatment, Anti rabis and also
dewormer of cattle,carabao,goat,sheep so Dr. Jubane given us an opportunities to experience the proper way
administer vitamins and deworm at purok 3 ,Camansi ,Montevista Davao de Oro.
