“Effective Communication is the process of
exchanging ideas, thoughts, opinions,
knowledge, and data so that the message is
received and understood with clarity and
purpose.”
The students of Ramniwas Bajaj English High School and
SCHOONHOVENS COLLEGE enthusiastically collaborated and
discussed on the topic, ‘Plastic Recycling ‘. Both the schools
interacted through the medium of Zoom Video Conference Call
and Whatsapp group in order to get acquainted with one another
as well as get an insight into the topic. The 1st Video
Conferencing was held on 15th January 2024.

The students introduced themselves and discussed about the

various outlook, measures and suggestions about plastic use, its
reduction and recycling through an elaborative and an interactive
session which lasted for half an hour.
The students from both the schools prepared a questionnaire for the Video
conference. Detailed planning about the same had been done quit in advance.
Both the groups also sung a song at the end, providing a cultural tour for
both the countries.
The students asked questions about the recycling done in the other school;
different methods to segregate plastic waste and motivation provided by the
school for reuse and recycle of plastic materials used in their respective
schools. The questions asked were 1] Do you plant trees near the roadways to
reduce air pollution generated by vehicles? 2] How important is plastic
recycling in your school?
The students from Berlage Lyceum said their school is very particular about
the use of plastic. They highly prefer to separate their plastic waste in different
bins on daily basis.

Both the schools were keen on displaying an equal amount of self-

awareness in the use of plastic.
