Stari Most Mostar
The Stari Most in Mostar is one of the most famous
symbols of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the city
of Mostar, on the river Neretva, and dates from the
Ottoman period. It was built between 1557 and 1566.

Mostar suffered heavy destruction, including the


destruction of Stari Most in 1993 during the conflict
between Bosnian Croats and Bosniaks.

After the end of the war, the reconstruction of Stari Most


became a symbol of reconciliation and renewal.
Reconstruction began in 1999 with the help of UNESCO
and international donors, and the bridge was ceremonially
reopened in 2004.
Tekija Blagaj
Tekija Blagaj is one of the most significant historical and
spiritual places in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was founded in the 16th century, and was built at the


place where the mountain and Rijeka landscapes meet,
which creates an extremely picturesque and peaceful
atmosphere. Tekija was once the center of the Tekija Sufi
order, which promoted mystical Sufism and practiced
spiritual rites and meditation.

Tekija Blagaj was an important place for spiritual search


and education in Islamic culture. Today it is open to
visitors who can explore the architectural beauty and
spiritual atmosphere of the place. It is also a popular
tourist destination due to its historical importance and
natural beauty, especially due to the picturesque landscape
of the Buna River.
Baščaršija Sarajevo
Baščaršija is the old part of the city of Sarajevo and one of
the most famous and colorful markets in Bosnia and
Herzegovina. Its name comes from the Turkish term "baş",
which means the main one, and "charšija", which means
market or bazaar. Baščaršija is the central place for
shopping, social life and cultural events in Sarajevo.

It was built in the 15th century when Sarajevo became an


important trade center under the rule of the Ottoman
Empire. Baščaršija was the heart of Sarajevo, with many
shops, stores, mosques, hanov (caravanseraj) and public
baths.
Vrelo Bosne Sarajevo
Vrelo Bosna is a natural source of the Bosna River located
near the city of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and
Herzegovina. It is one of the most beautiful natural areas in
the country, known for its crystal clear water, lush
vegetation and peaceful atmosphere.

It is located in the park "Vrelo Bosne", which covers about


603 hectares of green areas, forests and meadows. The park
is a popular recreational area for citizens of Sarajevo and
visitors, where they can enjoy walks, picnics, cycling or
simply relaxing in nature.

Vrelo Bosna is known for its sources of cold and clear


water that springs from underground sources and forms
small lakes and streams. This drinking spring is
surrounded by tall trees, and you can also see a variety of
flora and fauna in the surrounding park.
Olimpijske Planine
The Olympic Mountains are a mountain range located near
the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This
beautiful mountain range became famous around the
world as the host of the 1984 Winter Olympics.

The Olympic Mountains include several mountains, the


most famous of which are Bjelašnica, Jahorina, Igman and
Trebević. Each of these mountains offers different
opportunities for recreation and activities throughout the
year.
Bijela kula Gradačac
Bijela Kula in Gradačac is an imposing medieval fortress
located in the eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It
was built in the 15th century, during the Ottoman Empire,
as a defense structure that protected the city and the
surrounding area.

Bijela Kula fortress was built on a strategically important


location, on an elevation above the Ukrina River, which
enabled it to oversee the important road that passed
through this area. It originally had a military and defensive
function, with thick walls and observation towers.
Višegrad Most
The Višegrad Bridge, also known as the Mehmed Paša
Sokolović Bridge, is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture
and engineering located in the city of Višegrad, in the
eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This bridge is
located on the Drina river and is one of the most famous
and beautiful historical bridges in the Balkans.

It was built in the 16th century (1566-1577) by order of the


Ottoman Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasha Sokolović, who was
a native of this region. The bridge is the work of the
legendary Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, who is
considered one of the greatest architects in the history of
Islam.

The Višegrad bridge is built of stone and is characterized


by an elegant arch rising above the Drina river.
Vodopad Kravice
The Kravice waterfall is one of the most impressive natural
phenomena in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located not far
from the city of Međugorje, near Trebinje. This beautiful
waterfall is created when the Trebižat River falls down
rocks about 25 meters high into the crystal clear lake
below.

Kravice waterfall is known for its spectacular beauty and


crystal water that creates a beautiful pool under the
waterfall. In summer, when the water is warm, visitors
often swim and jump from the surrounding rocks into the
lake below, making this a popular destination for locals
and tourists alike.
Vodopad Jajce
The waterfall in Jajce is one of the most impressive natural
phenomena in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located near the
town of Jajce, in the central part of the country. This
waterfall is known for its spectacular beauty and
impressive height.

The Jajce waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Bosnia


and Herzegovina, reaching a height of about 20 meters. It
is located on the Pliva River, which joins the Vrbas River
near the town of Jajce, creating a spectacular natural
phenomenon. The force of the water crashing down the
rocks creates an impressive sight and creates a sound that
can be heard from a great distance.
