Species: A species is a group of organisms that share a
genetic heritage, are able to interbreed, and to create
offspring that are also fertile.
Breeding: The sexual reproduction that produces offspring
Hybrid: A mixture of two different things, resulting in
something that has a little bit of both — like the rare
zedonk, a hybrid of a donkey and a zebra.
Ligers: a hybrid offspring of a male lion and a female tiger.
Fertile: producing or capable of producing offspring
Infertile: incapable of producing offspirng
Variation: The differences in characteristics between
individuals of the same species is called variation. ·
Species and Breeding
Organisms that belongs to same species can breed
with each other and produce offspring
Usually organisms belong to different species can’t
breed with each other
Organisms of same species produces fertile offspring
Occasionally two organisms of different species breed
with each other. These offspring are known as hybrid.
i.e. : Ligers (hybrids between lion and tiger)
Hybrids cannot produce their pffspring as they are
infertile.

The formal naming system of living things.
It gives two parts(genus and species) of Scientific names of
every species.
