A new, edited and existing presentation may be saved for
future use or a subsequent action such as printing and modifying. There are many Save options available such as Save as PowerPoint Presentation, Save as PowerPoint Show, Save as PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation, Save As Open Document Presentation, Save as PDF or XPS, and other formats. Steps in Saving Presentation using File Menu 1. On the File menu, click Save command. 2. The list options will appear. When you select an option, the Save As dialog box will appear. 3. On the Save As dialog box, click the drop-down arrow to choose the directory where you want to save your file. 4. Encode the name of your file on the Filename box and click Save. Another way to Save a Presentation On the Quick Access Toolbar, click the Save command. Press Ctrl + S on your keyboard/keypad. Closing Microsoft PowerPoint There are many ways to close a PowerPoint presentation, two of them are the following:
Click File menu and click Close command.
You can click Exit/Close button on the upper right corner of the screen and it will return to a Windows desktop. Or you may press Alt + F4 to close the window. Opening a Previously Saved Presentation 1. Click File menu and click the Open command. 2. On the Open dialog box, click the Browse folder (2019 version), or the Look-in dropdown arrow (2010 version) to display the list of available drives and locate the drive containing your file. 3.
