Active Ingredients
Solvent is used to increase the quantity of the cleaning agent. The solvent is used
to dilute the cleaning agent to its minimum bactericidal concentration—for
instance, ethanol, which is used as a disinfectant solution. Avoid inhaling the
solvent because it may irritate the nose and mucous membranes.

Fragrance enhancers that cover a more pungent odor. Mostly, bathroom


cleaners use these added fragrances. Scents often come in the form of
essential oils.
Builders are substances that avoid other contaminants from reacting with the
active ingredient in the detergent.
Preservatives are used to prolong the duration of the product.
Antimicrobial reagents are to kill microbes.
Bubble enhancers are used to allow detergents to do their job more effectively.
Chemical safety do’s in handling a cleaning agent:
1. Keep the chemicals away from food storage and contact areas.
2. Label all chemicals clearly.
If chemicals are mislabeled, it can be tough to know what they are and should be used for.
3. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for chemical use.It is very significant to follow the
directives for each chemical. If it is used
incorrectly, the chemical can be dangerous.
4. Wash your hands with soap after handling chemicals.Chemicals can get on your hands and you
could spread them if you do not
properly wash your hands. Be sure to keep yourself and others safe by washing your
hands after handling chemicals.

1. Avoid mixing two different chemicals
2. Don’t use a chemical container to store food.
3. Don’t chemicals near to your food.
