INTRODUCTION

The pandemic itself rapidly sweeps the world with fear,


stress, worry, and grief. It also brought many challenges in our
life, uncertainty, altered daily routines, financial pressures and
social isolation. Worrying about getting sick, and how long this
pandemic last. These stressors can cause mental health
challenges to anyone.
What is Mental Health?

“Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual


realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal
stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a
contribution to his or her community.”- WHO

Mental health refers to cognitive, behavioral, and emotional well-


being.
2020 shows that at least 3.6 million Filipinos suffer
from one kind of mental, neurological, and substance
use disorder.
Myths and Facts: Mental Health Problems Affect Everyone

Mental health problems don't affect me.

Children don't experience mental health problems.

People with mental health problems are violent and


unpredictable.
People with mental health needs, even those who are managing their
mental illness, cannot tolerate the stress of holding down a job.
Personality weakness or character flaws cause mental health problems. People with
mental health problems can snap out of it if they try hard enough
