Loads
• For Load patterns stays the same but with one
addition.
Wind is going to have 2 Patterns ( X & Y )
• Enter Each load as we did in the Lecture on each
area. But for wind enter the 2 values once from the
X wind and once from the Y wind

Load Combinations Ultimate
• 1.4 (D.L. + S.D.)
• 1.2 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1.6 Lr + 0.5 Snow
• 0.9 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1 WindX
• 0.9 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1 WindY After You enter all these combos,
make an Env. For X and for Y.
• 1.2 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1.6 Snow + 1 Lr (2)
• 1.2 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1.6 Snow + 0.5 WindX
• 1.2 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1.6 Snow + 0.5 WindY
• 1.2 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1 Lr + 1 WindX + 0.5 Snow
• 1.2 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1 Lr+ 1 WindY + 0.5 Snow

• 1 (D.L. + S.D.) + 1 Lr
• 1 (D.L. + S.D.) + 0.6 WindX
• 1 (D.L. + S.D.) + 0.6 WindY

After You enter all these combos, make an Env. For X and for
Y.

Design
1) For X system
We design for the WindX system.
In our Case OMF make sure you met all the sections from
design and all passed. Assign them to the System.

2) For Y system
After assigning all the X system sections to groups.
Make the system OCBF and make sure all sections passed, if
not make the group that didn’t change on auto list and design it
alone till it passes, or you can do it manually.
