UNICEF AND ITS PROJECTS

 What is UNICEF?

 UNICEF is originally known as:

“The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund”
 It provides emergency food and healthcare to children and
mothers in countries that had been devastated by World War II♡
 It is one of the world's largest providers of vaccines♡
 It supports child health and nutrition, safe water and sanitation,
quality education and skill building♡
 It also provides HIV prevention and treatment for mothers and
babies, and the protection of children and adolescents from
violence and exploitation♡

Project 1:Africa

 UNICEF is working on a project in Africa

 In West and Central Africa, UNICEF works with partners across the region to achieve the Sustainable
Development Goals, a set of global goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy
peace and prosperity by 2030♡
 They have made a lot of progress but are still working it♡
 In 2025 Africa will be home to 5 billion children ♡
 They are also working on providing children with
reasonable food♡

 Project 2: Tajikistan

 UNICEF has a Project in Tajikistan

 works to ensure all children are enrolled in schools on time,
particularly most marginalized children♡
 In many cities they have completed their goal as in Dushanbe♡
 This has brought many improvements in Tajikistan♡
 As hoped they will be able to complete their goal soon♡

 As Tajikistan is an underdeveloped country UNICEF has another project in it

 UNICEF supports the government in enhancing the quality of healthcare services for mothers and children
in Tajikistan through its partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Lives and
Livelihoods Fund♡
 They have also made much progress in this project♡
 It is expected that UNICEF will achieve its goal soon♡

42 rights are of children and remaining is about how government and adults should work together to
ensure every child gets his/her right.
Why its Difficult to Treat Every Child Equal in All
Countries?

 Poor countries cant afford to send children to free schools

 Some countries make it compulsory to send children to army
 In poor countries many children work in factories
