Mayon also known as Mount Mayon is an active stratovolcano with a
small central summit crater. it is one of the world’s most symmetrical volcanic cones. The perfect shape of this volcano is due to the balance between erosion and eruption, defined by the angle or repose of ash. LOCATION and MAP COORDINATES The Mayon Volcano is located in the province of Albay and the whole Bicol region in the Philippines. With an height (elevation) of 2,463m.

Mayon volcano is a beautifully symmetrical volcano with a
steep upper slope of 35-40º and is capped by small summit crater 200 m in diameter. The volcanic crater is about 250 m in diameter. Atleast 85 lava flows have been identified ,and consist mainly of lava augite-hypersthene-andesite, generally fed from the crater. Mount mayon may vary greatly in volume 10 and 500 km³, with surrounding Ring plains containing up to 80% of the erupted volume of long-lived examples. MOUNT MAYON
