 Introduction:

• The project blood bank management system is a pilot project designed for the
blood bank to gather blood from various sources and distribute it to needy
people who have high requirements for it.

• The software is designed to handle the daily transactions of the blood bank
and search the details when required.

• This project aims at maintaining all the information about blood donors, and
different blood groups available in blood banks and help them manage in a
better way.
Objective of BBDMS:

• Automate the complete operations of the Blood Bank.

• Maintain thousands of Records.
• Searching for Blood is very fast so they can find the required
details instantly.
• Easily Can get Donor Details and location.
• The aim is to provide transparency in this field, make the
process of obtaining blood from a blood bank hassle-free and
corruption-free, and make the blood bank management system
effective.
 Existing System:

• The blood bank is currently managed manually, which is difficult,

takes a lot of time, and requires a lot of space.

• It creates room for errors as the data is entered manually by the

persons.

• It includes the risk of the documents being lost over years and
maintenance of the records is difficult.

• The data recorded during testing is not so accurate and precise.

• Maintaining the stock of blood and the daily transactions without

computerization also poses a challenge.
Problem Statement:

• Scarcity of Rare Blood Group

• Unavailability of Blood During Emergency
• Less Awareness among people about Blood Donation
• Deaths due to lack of blood during operations

The BBDMS project aims to make all the procedures automated

and therefore with a computer system it can be more fast
and accurate.
 Proposed System:

• The proposed system automates data entry to reduce errors

caused by manual entry.

• Documents are stored digitally, reducing the risk of loss over

time.

• The system makes record maintenance easy and efficient.

• It tracks the inventory of different blood types in real-time,

ensuring efficient blood supply management.

• The system features a user-friendly interface for easy

navigation and accessibility for staff members and donors.
