Introduction
• Emergency situations such as accidents create an immediate critical
need for specific blood type.
• In addition to emergency requirements, advance in medicine have
increased the need for blood in many on-going treatments for blood,
only about 5% of the Indian population donates blood.
• In this project we propose an efficient way to overcome such
scenarios. We have created a website which will increase public
awareness about blood donation and encourage them to participate in
any upcoming blood donation camp.
Abstract
• Recent studies have showed that In addition to emergency
requirements, advance in medicine have increased the need for blood
in many on-going treatments for blood and only about 5% of the
Indian population donates blood.
• The above mentioned case is because of the lack of knowledge among
the people about the sensitivity of this topic.
• The proposed aim of this project is to build a website to spread
awareness about blood donation and gather information from donors
for an organized blood donation camp

Problem statement and objective
• Problem statement :- Traditional blood donation camp systems were developed
by 1 or 2 perspective.
• Donation process used to take longer as all the donor information was to be taken
manually and checked by criterias of eligibility.
• There was shortage and sometimes unavailability of rare blood groups due to less
modules i.e. patient and donors.
• Objective :- A better idea is to use the website which any device can support
online.
• This website will display information about the donation process and eligibility
shortening the process at the camps.
• The shortage of specific blood types can be focused and encouraged to be donated

Proposed system
The main aim of this project is to save lives of people by providing aid to
hospitals by encouraging people about blood donation camps. Our project
Online Blood Donation website is developed so that users can view the
information about blood donation, eligibility, registration process and blood
availability at blood banks. This project is developed by four perspectives i.e.
hospital, blood bank, volunteer donors and patient. This website we are
developing helps to gather information about donors for hospitals arranging
the blood donation camp online. Willing voluteer donors will be prompted to
register and enter individual’s details like name, phone number and blood
type. After that the details can be used by any hospital which has upcoming
donation camps to reduce paperwork and time expenditure. Since almost
everyone carries a mobile phone with them or have an pc or laptop, it
ensures proper working and communication through this website. Thus this
website provides the required information in less time and also helps in
quicker decision making and encouraging blood donation.
Results
Conclusion & Future Scope
• A large amount of people can be attracted and encouraged for blood
donation using the online website.
• It will provide information to the hospitals arranging the camp so that
they can segregate people and provide them slots of time to prevent
crowding as keeping in mind the current covid - 19 scenario.
• It reduces the time required for offline paperwork and eligibility
checking.
