GROUP SOCIAL
• A group is composed
of two or more persons

who have relations with
interacting with each one another that make them

PRIMARY
• Small and characterized by close,

that last an extended time, maybe a
lifetime. These relationships are

SECONDARY
• Larger and less intimate and more

engage in an impersonal and objective
-oriented relationship for a limited
time.
• Example: Coworkers, Schoolmates,
Teachers, Administrator in academic
setting, Doctor-patient, School Clubs

• A group to which a person
belongs, and with which he or
she feels a sense of identity.
• Formed out of shared interest
and common experiences and
ideas in life.
• Satisfy the old saying “birds
of the same feather flock
together”.

GROUP• It is a group to
which one does not
belong and to
which he or she
may feel hostility.

GROUP
• a collection of people that we use
as a standard of comparison for
ourselves regardless of whether
we are part of that group. It is a
group in which we compare
ourselves. It serves as the
standard to which we base our
behavior and attitudes.
