Conditional

- Is a sentence that is
composed of two clauses and
expresses a condition and its
result.
Parts of Conditionals
1.ANTECEDENT CLAUSE – is the if clause
and states the condition.

2.CONSEQUENT CLAUSE – is the main


clause and expresses the result of the
condition.

Order of Clauses is Not Fixed

You can replace “if” with “when”

Ice melts when you heat ice.
